Merligen Hotels and Accommodation

Merligen is a tiny village on the shore of Switzerland’s Lake Thun. It is at the mouth of the Justis Valley. This is a lovely place to make a stop during a vacation or even to spend a weekend. Merligen is principally known for its health spas, but it also has some charming cafes and boutiques. Guests staying in Merligen hotels can enjoy excursions on the lake, or take walks along well posted paths. This is a great base from which to explore this part of Switzerland. Several other picturesque communities are within an easy hike or bicycle ride from Merligen. At nearby Interlaken there is a 12th century Augustinian priory. At Oberhofen there is a 12th century castle which houses a museum. Another medieval castle is just across the lake at Spiez.
