Geneva, Switzerland, is one of the world’s great cities. Set at the western end of Lake Geneva and on the banks of the Rhone River, Geneva is the headquarters of the United Nations and the birthplace of the International Red Cross. Maison Rousseau is the home in which the philosopher Jean-Jaques Rousseau was born. Place du Bourg-de-Four was once the market place, but now the square is surrounded by art galleries and cafes. Among the many museums to be seen is the Museum of the International Red Cross.
