The city of Geneva has many wonderful museums to visit, while in the beautiful country of Switzerland. Geneva is a very popular city for visitors and is home to a Natural History Museum as well as the Institut et Musee Voltaire, or the Residence and Museum of Voltaire. The home that Voltaire lived in was turned into a museum, on the man and his life and works, in the year 1954.

The Institut et Musee Voltaire is a great place to go if you like history, philosophy, or are just interested in the life of Voltaire. The lovely residence is home to manuscripts, paintings, sculptures, and many articles that were owned by Voltaire, which are on display for all to see. Admission to this beautiful and educational museum is free and they welcome all visitors to come and learn a bit about this history of this philosopher from the 18th century.
