The museums in the city of Geneva are certainly the best in Switzerland. There are museums of science, fine art, and even one of artifacts from ancient civilizations. The museum of ancient civilizations is called the Musée Barbier-Müller. The Musée Barbier-Müller is one of the nicest museums in the city as well as one of the most interesting museums. The Musée Barbier-Müller collection was started back in the year 1907 by Josef Müller.
Although Mister Müller bagan the collection of artifacts back in 1907 the museum was not opened by his family until the year 1977. This museum’s collection now has a very impressive 5,500 pieces in the building. The museum is located in the old part of the city, and is a great place to start your tour of the city. The pieces include jewelry, sculpture, masks, and so much more. The Musée Barbier-Müller is open from 11 am until 5 pm on Monday through Sunday.
