Savognin hotels and accommodation

The small community of Savognin is in the Surses Valley in the Swiss canton of Graubunden. The village has three distinct parts, each with its own church. This is a good place to stop and visit during a vacation, or perhaps even spend a weekend. Savognin is also a good base from which to explore this part of Switzerland. There are three 17th century churches in the village, all of them Catholic. The Church of Maria Empfangnis is Gothic. The Church of St. Michael is Baroque. The tallest, the Church of St. Martin incorporates the Romanesque tower of an earlier church into its structure. At nearby Padnal visitors can see a reconstruction of a Bronze Age settlement.
