 "We enjoyed our stay in La Couronne very much."
The hotel was very decent and clean. It seemed to be newly built. I loved the breakfast and the cafe area that was filled with sunshine and was very comfortable. The mountain view was excellent. We stayed on a higher floor so Matterhorn was right in front of the window at full view. We took many beautiful pics both in the morning and evening while we were in the room. The staff were all very nice. It took about ten minutes' walk from the rail station but it worthed going that far.We might have experienced disappointment because we booked a mountain view room but were surprised to find it was connected to a terrace. It had the benefit of easy access to a decent terrace. However, we preferred more privacy and didn't want to close the curtains all the time. The reception lady and manager showed understanding but the rooms were fully occupied. Eventually they swapped a suite for us that saved us from disappointment. I would suggest making the room description clearer so that visitors can make a right choice.Overall, we definitely would choose La Couronne again in our next visit to Zermatt.

The 3 stars superior holiday hotel LA COURONNE is personally run by the Julen family and has 41 rooms. The hotel is favourably situated in a sunny, quiet and central location near the church. The mountain railways are within 5 to 10 minutes walking distance. In addition, there is a ski bus stop right in front of the hotel. All rooms are equipped with bath tub or shower, toilet, hair dryer, safe, cable TV and direct dial telephone. We offer free internet access/WLan. On a cold winter day you may relax in our sauna. In summer you may enjoy our new Matterhorn Lounge on the terrace with a breath taking view of the mountains. Our sports shop is situated in the same building. Whatever kind of sports clothes or equipment you are looking for, you will find it in our Slalom Sport.
