Pros: -the hotel is brand new so everthing is very clean and in excellent condition.
- the hotel is fairly close to the sunnegga lift.
Cons: - limited selection at breakfast.
- hotel has a shuttle, but did not offer to collect us at the station.
- no steam room or hot tub.
- because the hotel is heated naturally, it can be a bit cold.
- the hotel is quite far from town.

The brand new Phoenix Hotel in Zermatt is located in a quiet neighborhood, a few walking minutes from the train station, the Bahnhofstraße with its numerous shops and restaurants, and the ski and winter sports facilities. Built from natural materials from the Zermatt region, the entire hotel radiates a cozy, homely, yet modern atmosphere. Start every day at the rich and complimentary breakfast buffet before you set out to explore the scenic surroundings of Zermatt. In the evening or throughout the day the bar and the lounge are great places to relax. Many restaurants can be found in the surroundings of the Phoenix hotel. Wireless Internet is available in public areas free of charge. The property is closed between 10th October and 5th November. Please note that public street maintenance is being undertaken nearby.
