The Combles de l”hotel de Ville in Lausanne, Switzerland is an attraction that a lot of people are bound to pass up. Nominally speaking, the building in question serves as the Town Hall for the city’s government, which of course isn’t the place a tourist is usually interested in going to. Further complicating matters is that the building looks a little plain and small from the outside.
All this, however, is illusory. The inside is a positively massive structure, with three floors dedicated to artistic exhibitions that are just as nice as any found in any other museum in the country. This make the Combles de l’Hotel de Ville a must see attraction and one that you would sorely regret missing. Generally speaking, there are up to four exhibitions on display at any one time, and they frequently involve the local arts of painting, sculpture, and photography. Be sure to make a stop here if you find yourself visiting Lausanne and looking for something to do.
