 "from another era"
While the location is ideal, the hotel has the feel of being from 30 years ago. I have no complaints about the cleanliness...but everything has a worn-out look. Pity that WiFi doesn't extend to the rooms....the lounge is full of worn-out furniture, and feels like a hang-out for middle-aged guest workers.

A clean hotel located in a central position, near the railway station, along the river. Prices are affected by the high cost of living in the city.

Hotel location is really good. Cleanliness also very good, and lounge for wifi is convenient. Breakfast is poor, however very good tea served in a pot, aecent for the start of a long day.

 "The limmathof is a home away from home"
Pros: The limmathof is a home away from home. rooms were clean, staff hospitable, and the lounge, with wireless internet service, was a great place to meet other travellers. the continental breakfast was adequate and the wait staff attentive. i will stay at the limmathof again when i next travel to zurich.
Cons: Steps up into the lobby were difficult to negotiate with luggage. a ramp would be helpful.
