In order to see some of the beautiful sights of Krabi, one has to land on this small airfield. The Krabi Airport was built with a chaotic history. It started its operation in 1986 as a joint project between the town's government and the private sector. But Krabi tourism assessed that they needed a much bigger airport to accommodate the bulk of tourists coming every year. There are numerous investors that build hotels and restaurants therefore increasing the number of visitors needing an airport. The reconstruction of the Krabi airport was finished in 1999. There are cozy restaurants and a nice waiting lounge for guests waiting for their flights.

Today, there numerous cheap flights that are going in and out of Krabi that have proven to be more convenient to any tourist wanting to go and visit this island paradise. Flying to a favorite Krabi tourist spot has never been easier. At least, it beats taking the bus.
