The Samut Prakarn Crocodile Farm and Zoo was founded in 1950 by a crocodile fanatic named Utai Youngprapakorn for the purpose of preserving the crocodile species. It is one of the largest crocodile farm in the world. There are over sixty thousand species of crocodile including Yai, the largest one in Bangkok. Aside from crocodiles, there are other animals to be seen like elephants, gibbons, lions and snakes.
It is one of the many Bangkok attractions that can keep anyone busy because of so many activities in the place. There is an amphitheater where crocodile wrestling shows and elephant acrobatics are being held every hour. Since its expansion, the zoo now has more to offer including a dinosaur museum and a big food center. There is also a gift shop filled with exotic crocodile products and leather. If one is looking for things to do in Bangkok, then going to this zoo is a worthwhile experience.
