The Bangkok Christian Hospital was built by two Christian churches, namely, the American Presbyterian Mission and the Church of Christ. They set up this hospital near Bangkok attractions and temples in 1840 after establishing their evangelizing offices. It is one of the known oldest general hospitals in the city of Bangkok. Starting out as a clinic, it is now a fully registered hospital with complete equipment with modern laboratory, pharmacy and chapel.
The church was designed in a modern style that made it one of the top sights of Bangkok. Its 15-storey building has a 10-storey car park. In 1987, the Moh Bradley building was inaugurated by Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn. Today, the Bangkok Christian Hospital has specialized centers for skin care and laser center treatments. It also has departments for internal medicine, gynecology, pediatrics, surgery, orthopedics and radiology. Despite all these, it is known to provide cheap but quality medical care.
