Narathiwat is one of the more southern provinces of Thailand, bordering Malaysia. While many view the province as an area to pass through on a journey up to the islands or down in to Singapore, the province offers beaches, mountains, and ocean as well as inland water sport activities. The Pacho Waterfall inland is one of the main attractions of the Budo - Su-ngai Padi National Park, located on the mountain side. On the seaward side, there is a 5 km beach called the Hat Narathat which has several bridges suitable for photographs. In the main town, Narathiwat, you can visit the three story Central Mosque of Narathiwat, or the bazaars, where you can pick up some of the excellent batik cloth produced in the area.
