Thalang National Museum is the official museum of the province of Phuket. It is located near the famous heroine monument landmark. This museum was built in 1985 under the leadership of Phuket-Patong Tourism to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the Thalang War. It was also built to preserve the history and culture of the province of Phuket and other nearby area.

Aside from the general Thai history's display, the museum also contains a number of artifacts that are taken from the famous battle against Burmese army. There is a large section for the two famous heroines who made the difference in the historical battle. There are also displays about the everyday life of the sea gypsies' culture including a display of their typical house setting. This museum is rather small but definitely worth the visit to the sights of Phuket-Patong because it is a good place to learn and to understand the island's past.
