Koh Kut Hotels and Accommodation

Koh Kut, also known as Koh Kood, is a town 330 kilometres from Bangkok. Koh Kut is the second biggest island in the province of Trat, and used to belong to the Mu Koh Chang National Park. The area is popular with tourists who want something different for their holiday. The sea around the island is very clean, and people can go scuba diving there. There are some beautiful coral reefs around the perimeter of the island. The addition of dive resorts has brought scuba diving training to the island. Seventy percent of the island is taken up by dense tropical rain forest, and the Klong Chao waterfall is not to be missed – visitors can swim and bathe in the waters here all year round.
There are no banks on the island and although some of the hotels offer money changing facilities these can be quite expensive. Getting there can be a bit of a problem, you have to get a transfer from Bangkok and then a ferry from the mainland to reach Koh Kut. There are a growing number of hotels in Koh Kut, but as it becomes more popular these can fill up rather quickly.
