Of all things rich and famous, you will fall in love with George Sebastian's 1920's villa in Hammamet, Tunisia. It has been said that the famous architect Frank Lloyd Wright billed this villa as the most beautiful house he had ever seen. And a beauty it is. Setting the bar in Hammamet for what other homes should look like. Once a luxurious home, it is now a cultural center and open for touring. The most stunning attractions within this building are the arcaded swimming pool and a bath that could seat four, sunk into the marble floor. Sebastian, a Romanian millionaire businessman, had a love of all things beautiful and indulged in that love. Many other notables to visit this villa were Gide, Klee and Beaton.
Frank Lloyd Wright first came to see this amazing tribute to beauty when invited to a party. He never forgot it either. Sebastian's villa is 3 km from the center of town and is best reached by taxi. This villa is sprawled out on one corner of nine acres of land just along the beach from Hammamet's medina.
