Isparta is a lovely province in southwestern Turkey. It is well known for its beautiful blooming roses, and also for the various rose products that are made from them. Flat highlands are scattered here and there in Isparta, along with a series of caves. Isparta is also known for its carpets, so have a look around the Hali Saray, which means Carpet Place. The Isparta Museum has many exhibits dealing with archaeological works and ethnographic displays, and several which are about the history of carpeting. The Democracy Museum goes back 50 years in the history of Turkish demographic beliefs. Restaurants in Isparta do a good job at serving local Turkish fare that even the fussiest eater is sure to enjoy.
