Mugla is the namesake city of the Mugla province in Turkey. The province is located on the southwestern side of Turkey and has a number of coastal resort towns that look out over the Aegean Sea. It is further divided into 12 districts, each of which has its own distinct personality. The town of Mugla is actually about 20km away from the coast. There are two airports that serve the province, which have been enjoying an influx of tourism in recent years. They are the Dalaman International Airport and the Milas-Bodrum Airport.
Because of this increase in tourism there are many budget hotels in Mugla to choose from. Some of them are close to the beaches, which many people find convenient. Scuba diving, snorkeling and skiing are just some of the watersports that can be done while vacationing in Mugla. One of the attractions in the Mugla province is the city of Bodrum. It is located on the coast and as you drive into the town you can’t help but notice the beautiful castle. It was built in the 15th century by the Knights of Rhodes. Turkey is both a relaxing and exotic getaway. Getting cheap hotels in Mugla or in one of the many Turkish villages or towns might be easier if you learn a little bit of the Turkish language because that is the official language of the country. There are many outdoor activities to enjoy all throughout the country, especially in the summer months.
