Located on the corner of Stauroegiyska Street and Drukarska Street is the Pharmacy Museum. The building it is located in was constructed during the seventeenth century and was originally used by a military pharmacist Natorp. Aesculapius, the Greek god of medicine and his daughter Hygiene, the Green goddess of health are represented on the two bas-reliefs which are located on the façade of the building.

In 1966 the Pharmacy Museum was opened. It contains over two thousand items including scales, vessels, instruments and manuscripts. The museum itself is divided into several rooms, including one room, known as the trade hall, where medicine can be purchased. When visiting the trade hall don’t miss the scales from the eighteenth century or the medicine symbol of a bowl and a snake that is over four thousand years old. You must obtain a special excursion slip to enter the other rooms of the museum which include an office of the former pharmacy owner, a pharmacy laboratory, a cook room and basements.
