Malls are not necessarily always worth a visit when you’re in a foreign country. But there is one mall that is hoping to convince visitors that it is worth a trip. The Mall of the Emirates is found in the Al Barsha district of Dubai and was the largest mall in the Middle East until the Dubai Mall opened. However, the Mall of the Emirates is still a staggering size at over 2,400,000 square feet of shops and a total of more than 6,500,000 square feet of area when you include the other interior features.

But it’s not the size alone that brings visitors to the Mall of the Emirates. Did you pack your skis for your stay in your discount hotel in Dubai near the Mall of the Emirates? Hopefully you did, since the Mall of the Emirates is the home of the Middle East’s first indoor ski complex, called Ski Dubai. When you are done skiing, don’t head back to your discount hotel near the Mall of the Emirates in Dubai just yet – you can still enjoy luxury shops, a 14 screen movie theater, and even an organic produce market that spans 10,000 square feet.
