The Oban Distillery is one of the oldest and most wonderful attractions in the city of Oban. It dates back to the 1800 when it underwent refurbishments in the 1890’s. There has been very little change to the current building ever since. The name of the Oban Distillery comes from the town where the highlands meet the Islands and nestles below the steep cliff that overlooks Oban town. The coastal location of the town is accurately reflected by the character of the Oban 14 year old single malt whisky, which has been making remarkable sales worldwide.

There are guides to take the visitors through the Oban distillery and learn about the ancient art of distilling, thereafter enjoying a complimentary dram of the Oban 14 year old West Highlands Malt. The location of the place is perfect, as the visitor can also get to see the Dullonie Castle, which is on the same street.
