Considered the national stadium of all of Wales, the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff is a site that many visitors to the region will find themselves face to face with at one point of another. When it was first constructed, it was the largest stadium in the entire United Kingdom, but since then it has been outclassed. Despite that fact, it remains a popular place, and is home to many different events.
Today, the Stadium is mostly used to house rugby and football games, which are of course among the most popular sports played in Wales, but it’s also home to motorsports such as bike and stock car racing. In recent years, it has even been used as a location for the shooting of many different films, so there’s a good chance that visitors might see such a production, or even have the chance to participate in one as an extra.
