Cardigan in West Wales feels very special: and perhaps that is because it is indeed a very special place. It has a very rich heritage and is also a very cultured town, with some fantastic scenery, since it nestles on Cardigan Bay. There are many Georgian and Victorian buildings to see and the Museum of Power is a fascinating history of the internal combustion engine, which is much more interesting than you may think. Try to make time available to take a boat trip out into the bay and see the town from the sea: it is stunning and when you are here, it is well worth having a walk out of Cardigan and following the coastal route for a bit: the beaches are fantastic.
