County Down has much to offer its visitors, no matter how long you are staying for. It has a very spectacular Castle at Dundrum, that dates back to the Norman times. There is also a very interesting museum at the Scarva Heritage Center, which looks at how both canals and industry have shaped this area. You should also make time to visit the St Patrick Center, which is dedicated to Ireland’s Patron Saint. For some fantastic wildlife scenes, why not check out the Caste Espie center, where you can see an amazing range of wildfowl. The whole center is a birdlover’s paradise, with fantastic views as well.
