The Heights of Abraham is a classical tourist attraction in every sense of the word, making it an utterly delightful stop for any visitors to Derby who are looking for something memorable to do. The Heights were created specifically for the purpose of providing something unique for visitors, and they certainly succeeded. The Heights of Abraham consists of a lush park situated on top of a massively tall area of land called Masson Hill. In order to access the park, visitors must ride up to the top in a cable car.

Once there, there are plenty of things to do, including visiting attractions that have been in place since Victorian times. Caverns and mines dot the local landscape, and for most of these, guided tours are available, giving visitors a chance to appreciate both the natural beauty of the land and Derby’s industrial history. There are also restaurants and the like if one wants to make this trip an all-day affair.
