Much of Brighton’s tourism is dominated by attractions centering around the local modern art scene, but there are other types of getaways available for the tourist in the mood for a change. Preston Park is one such place, offering a wonderful glimpse at the natural beauty of Brighton that might otherwise go overlooked.
Visitors to the park can enjoy over 63 acres of woodlands, including a formal rose garden that is certain to delight anyone with a taste for that type of thing. For the active, there are even bowling greens and croquet lawns, as well as extremely unique attractions such as a garden built specifically to accommodate the blind, and a large pond that is crossable by means of broad, flat natural stepping stones. Preston Park is a wonderful place for anyone to visit and even features a café so that you can stay all day if you like and really take in the treasures that it has to offer.
