Celtic Park is the stadium and spiritual home of the Celtic football club in Glasgow, Scotland. The other names for Celtic Park include Parkhead, and it is also frequently referred to as Paradise by Celtic fans. The only stadium larger than Celtic Park in Scotland is Murrayfield, which is a rugby stadium in Edinburgh. The only football club in the UK with a larger stadium is Man United, with Old Trafford seating more spectators.
The stadium has been in use since 1892 when Celtic moved there from their original stadium. It was designed by the famous architect Archibald Leitch, who is also known for designing the stadiums for Rangers, Hearts, Sunderland, Fulham and Everton. Since it was originally opened, the stadium has also undergone a number of extensions and redevelopments so that it now has a maximum capacity of well over sixty thousand spectators. The stadium also contains the Celtic museum.
