It was not a pleasant place to stay, the most worrying aspect was that the smoke alarm was missing (battery obviously needed replaced so the alarm was removed) there was alot of space around the door, again fire hazard. the carpets were stained, the main stairs carpet was stapled down!! the room we were in was a triple and was very cramped there was a chest of drawers that could not be opened because the bed was up against it! the shower was disgusting the plug hole had obviosly been clogged so it was just removed and was just a hole!! the sink was the same. the shower cradle was hanging off the wall, we were afriad to adjust for fear it would fall!! as for the self catering end of things the facilities were poor 1 pan with a lid that didn't belong. all cutlery and crockery was mis matched! one of the mattresses was very poor and stained. the beds had big heavy scratchy blankets. it is also a very noisy ocation if this is an issue Blaney

This is in an excellent location. there are 3 grocery stores within 4 blocks, as well as restaurants, post office, newsstands, tube station. having a kitchenette saves lots of money, as restaurants are particularly expensive. room and bath were clean.Americans may not realize that for this location and this price, you will have a very small room, with dodgy stains on the carpet and lumpy beds, at the top of 58 stairs. if you are on the warwick rd. side, it will be incredibly noisy.
if you want us-style rooms, you will have to pay a lot more, and will not have the great location. if you are adventurous, and can handle the stairs, you will be fine.Dunford

Great locations, decent size room, nice double bed, good shower and handy kitchenette.Cleanness of room was rather poor
