Location was excellent, staff friendly and helpful
Wasn't happy being next door to a niteclub with loud music til 2am, room was too small and not worth the money, mini bar wasn't refilled by staff and couln't get the free wifi to work in the room with my laptopO\'Meara

Cleanliness, comfort, nice room. prime location in london, easy to see local attractions, good facilities.Staff not overly friendly, very expensive for what you get - no breakfast included. bed and breakfast would have been just as comfortable with breakfast included. Anonymous

Very convinient location, easy to walk around all central places from thereNoice untill late night coming from street (shaftesbury avenue) especially weekends. the prices of the room were different for every night without me knowing it.Lench

The room was comfortable and clean and the staff friendly and helpfulI had a few bad experiences whilst staying at the shaftesbury:
1) the main lift was broken, and the small lift wouldnt call so we had to use the stairs
2) after climbing the stairs to my room, my doorcard didnt work, so i was forced to go back down and up again! i also experienced the same problem tuesday morning, luckily one of the cleaners let me back into my room as the card wouldnt work
3) whilst breakfast was acceptable, there had been some issue with the drainage, and the entire room stank of sewage, not a very pleasant experience whilst attempting to eat breakfast!Anonymous

Central location is really very convenient- staff is not smart
- rooms are very noisy, almost impossible to sleep, no sound isolation
- phone in the room did not work
- poor choice in tv channels
- conditioning is very old, noisy and did not function properly
- windows are very old, they waste a lot of warm. the room was quite cold
- room is too smalllarwood
