"Modern and excellent location"
Only paid £70 for a night here so wasn't expecting the hotel to be great. However, on arrival I was very pleasantly surprised. The reception and bar area were refurbished to an excellent standard and so was my room (not sure if all rooms are newly refurbished or whether I dropped lucky). The other bonus was that it is just a short walk to Lancaster Gate tube.
the breakfast was Pleasant, the room is quite small but very clean and cosy. very close to the tube ..room service was very good.

"lucky us!"
We felt lucky to have chosen this hotel above the many others available in London. Direct underground to/from Liverpool Street Station made it convenient on arrival /departure, having flown in to Stanstead airport. The area is quiet but offering many restaurants/cafes and only a step away from Hyde Park- an oasis with Lido for swimming, and a walk from the V&A,and other museums The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. We will stay here again when we visit London next time.

"horrendous bed."
booked a double bed. got a single room with a temporary single bed pushed next to the normal bed.this bed sloped so much that you waist was 1 foot below you head and feet. and also 1 foot below the other part of the 'double' bed.room far too small for 2 people.
my experience was very bad. when I arrived they didn't give me the right room that I reserved, and we Changed tree differents rooms in only two days. The room was very small, my boyfriend doesn't get in the bed and in the shower. they had teasing me in everythings unkindly. I always reserve room in a Best Western hotel but this experience was really unbelievable.
I was very satisfied with my stay Best Werstern Shastesbury Paddington. Nice clean rooms and friendly staff. Good value for the money when you consider hotel, quality and location.
After travelling for more than 20 hours, i found the hotel only to be told that i would be moved to another hotel. I was told there would be a cab and free breakfast to compensate. I found that ok.When i was moved the room was ok and the location while slightly further was not too bad. Although the new hotel had no clue about my free breakfast. When i asked them to check, all i got was confused faces and panicky ask me come back. Finally i got bored asking. The room itself has a very nice toilet but wi fi is only in the lobby which is highly inconsistent and unstable.

"Double room"
We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights, when we arrived on the first day they had already taken the money for our rooms but claimed they hadnt recived a payment so we each had to pay again, the room given to my 2 friends was spacious but lacked a working fridge and air con unit. the room me and my girlfriend were given was cramped an you could only open the wardrobe doors halfway due to the bed being so close to it. on the other hand the bathrooms where small but clean and tidy and came with a generous amount of shampoo etc. on the last day they again tried to charge us extra for breakfast even tho none of our party had eaten from the hotel bar. as a short stay hotel and aslong as the only thing your going to do in there is use it for sleeping then it serves that function well but for anything else it is very disapointing, especially for the price paid.

"Standard of room"
Hotel was in idea location with easy access to tubes and places to eat.Only downside had booked a deluxe doudle room and it was changed when we arrived to a smaller double, nice clean room but not much room around the room very squashed.
