Rude greeting: receptionist /manager aware if my arrival at desk, ignored me to continue his admin for rather a long time; sullen manner and then didn't answer my questions about an apparent problem with my booking; said little beyond "sign here and here," and "credit card please"; no smile, greeting or details provided about facilities or breakfast; impression given that i was a nuisance and plenty more like me would follow so pleasantries altogether unnecessary; the poorest greeting at a best western hotel i've ever known. younger staff the next day were far more helpful and well mannered though.
