Micheal was very helpful at the front desk, & alan was very nice.
Everything but the staff was a negative experience. the rooms were small & very hot. airconditioning was advertised & not provided. our first room had strong chemical smell from carpet cleaner, which caused my friend respiratory difficulty. our second room was small & hot with a brick wall & large metal vent blocking airflow from a small window. the third room was larger, but faced the street on the lower level of the hotel, felt very unsafe to leave window open, still no air conditioning. the fourth room we finally got a decent, air conditioned room, but the fifth night the a/c quit working & leaked water on the mattress; had to sleep with window open. i would not recommend this hotel to anyone. you should take it off your list of available hotels. it should close it's doors until their renovation is completed. bad choice!!! please heed this warning!!!

I found the blakemore great value for money. its location is fantastic and the staff really lovely.
The only negative thing i would say is that the room was a little small and the bathroom was also too small. but generally ok.

Only location
Construction work was going on so it was noisy, we got room 22 and i could not believe that a 3 star hotel can provide such a room. small, everything was old, shower did not look very nice. i stayed in one and two stars hotel in the past in london and it looked much better. blakemore is on the level of hostels. it seems that if you do not buy your room at the full price they dont care and give you a boiler room. staff also was not too friendly, sorry. i was very dissapointed and i am not picky at all.

If the work going on inside and outside the hotel hadn't been going on everything maybe would have been o.k.
Outside the hotel was covered with scaffolding. room given had a hole in the ceiling and should not have been in use, was then given an "upgrade" no hot water reason being a problem outside the hotel. think we were just staying at the wrong time as there was major work going on in the area.
