 "A miserable stay"
The rooms were cramped and dated. The heating didn't work. The television didn't work. A refund was promised but none materialised. There was no restaurant. Problems were reported a number of times before anyone came to see whether they could sort it.

 "Not good"
Upon arriving I was told my room wasn't available and that a room at another hotel had been arranged. Not a good start. I specifically asked the question if the room at new hotel was of the same type and was assured absolutely that it was. This turned out to be a blatant lie. Upon arriving at the second hotel I found this out and so refused to take the room. I took the manager at the Cheshire to task over this and although he was courteous enough on the phone the end result was take it ot leave it which meant that the Cheshire refused to help. So I found myself on the street at 8pm on a Saturday night phoning around hotels myself to find an appropriate room. All in all I'm extremely dissapointed in the Cheshire and would not recommend it.

 "Cheshire hotel, London- I do not recommend this hotel!!!"
I was very suprised when I open the door to the hotelroom, I have paid a lot for this and the doboule room was very small and thight. The were no sitting group for relax and no place for mooving around. We had to sit on the bed. The shower in bathroom was terrible, water were running all ways. Every day when we went through reception the receptionist had a lot of discussion with other quesst which were unsatisfied with the internet connection, terrible rooms etc.So please do not book this hotel!!!

The rooms were small, clean and a bit too hot and ecpensive. It was a bit overpriced though, which is probably because of the olympics. Location was great.

Single Room, but very tiny also not much oxygen in the room and high temparature. The elevators are also needs to be replaced.

 "Fooled in London"
I reserved in Cheshire Hotel, when we were doing the check in they told us that due to some plumbing problems we were going to placed in other hotel, and we went to Royal National, what a disaster.Apparently this is a normal procedure for the Cheshire Hotel, as one staff member told us, they overbook the hotel as a regular procedure, because there was no problems with the plumbing at the Cheshire Hotel.

 "Get what you payed for"
When we arrived, the room did not meet the description in the booking. We tried to get in touch with someone responsible trough the whole stay without sucess. A couple of the receptionists tried their best, but obviously did not have the power to make decisions.We had a nice stay in London, but it could have been better regarding the hotel.

The rooms are a little small but I guess you only need to sleep in them. They are clean and location is great.

Good staff service. The room was small but adequate - suffered from lack of tea/coffee making facilities. The in-room entertainment was poor, TV not correctly tuned and limited range of programme choice. Experienced noise on both nights, particularly the Saturday night, which disturbed the night significantly. The location was excellent for my requirements.

When we got there I found 5 hairs on my pillow, clearly the bed wasn't changed. We didn't have any warm water for 3 out of the 4 days. When we went to the front desk to complain about the water all he did was sigh.

 "Characterful"
Marvelous location, very friendly staff and rooms not bad! Oversized furniture in small room but perfectly nice and lovely comfy bed. Best bath ever - filled up in minutes and piping hot water. Not posh or particularly smart but bit quirky and good value for money.

I had a nice stay, however. when I asked a member of staff my check out time, they told me 11 am. I then got a call at 10:15 the next morning telling me I would be charged if I didn't vacate the room immediately. They didn't get charged, but they should be a bit clearer about when the time to check out is.

 "Bedding and towels were clean"
Pros: Bedding and towels were clean.
Cons: Room was tiny. everything was scruffy with mold and rust in the bathroom. window blind broken. all in all just shoddy and unkempt.

 "friendly, helpful staff"
Pros:
friendly, helpful staff. excellent location. very near the british museums and theaters.
Cons: Our reservation called for a queen sized bed, but our bed was a full size instead. the room also did not have a mini-fridge as described. side of tub very high and no grab bars. once i almost fell into the tub.

Pros: Great location, but room was falling to pieces. bathroom was absolutely disgusting - the tub and tiles were rotting through due to water damage. the carpet was old and dirty. the refrigerator didn't work. it was a dump, but the location was awesome.

Pros: The staff were very friendly and helpful and the location was great.
Cons: The hotel is due for some decorating to be done as the wallpaper was coming off the walls and some furniture was broken.
