Earls Court Gardens Hotel London

The bedroom was in the basement !!!! how could i know it, and in front of the tube line !!!! there were cockroach. the bed (?) was built on two wood boxes !!!

I felt as though i had walked into a movie set about a 'flea-bag' hotel when i saw a small cockroach in the basin in my room when i walked in...yes, i know, quite unbelievable but oh so true...was far too tired when i arrived to care so i flushed it down the sink & attempted to go have a shower in one of the shared bathrooms - the first two showers i came across had broken nozzles- finally found one on the ground floor after asking/complaining at reception. also- rat poison boxes under the bed & under the sink unit & in the corridor(?!) it may be a cheaper hotel but you do expect some degree of 'rodent/pest-free' experience & accessible hot water (!) very worn saggy mattress but was too tired not to have a good nites sleep:) tv in room but every 5 or so minutes would completely lose reception. i was told "you get what you pay for" ...i told him i still expected the "working basics"... ( but very nice man still tho! we had a laugh over this in the end over a cigarette on the doorstep: )) although as eventful as my experience was at this hotel & as friendly as the hotel operator may have been- i do not think i would return....

There are many tick on the bed. i was bit at least 30 places...

No staff as such just a receptionist. no seperate bathroom. quilt cover was stained, walls were drab and marked. front door of the hotel was constantly open which posed a security risk. state of the bathroom was appalling there were no mats or anything to protect your feet so floor was constantly wet.

Right next to the trains, a lot lot of noise. and a bit dirty place.
