Westminster area is busy by day and quiet by night. Buckingham Palace is located across lovely St. James's Park; Whitehall leads to Trafalgar Square and the National Gallery, passing 10 Downing Street and the Queen's mounted troops at Horse Guards on the way.
How to reach the Enrico Hotel?1) By metro, from Heathrow Airport: Take the Piccadilly Line to Earl's Court and once there interchange to the District Line towards Westminster/Upminster and get off at “Victoria” station. The hotel is at walking distance from the station.
2) From Gatwick Airport to Victoria Station: Take the direct train. The train from Gatwick to Victoria is the Gatwick Express, a dedicated airport train. There are cheaper trains from Victoria that stop at Gatwick on their way to other destinations.
If you really on a budget there is the much slower, less frequent Gatwick airport bus to Victoria.
