Hesperia London Victoria Hotel

It was a special stay for me and my boyfriend, because we went to london on the day of his birthday. we haven`t seen each other for two month, so i wrote a special request(they did not receive) to the hotel to make sure they help me to make this stay unforgettable. when i tried to check in, they could not find the reservation and instead of telling me they checked me in with a complete different rate and departure date. when i recognized that something went wrong, i had to go to the business centre to print out my confirmation but the reception desk did not receive the confirmation, because the printer was offline. so i had to wait untill they receives the document, which took at least another ten minutes. after they finally held my confirmation in their hands i had to change rooms, because i suppose that i was not allowed to stay in that room with my rate. i really felt treated like a 2nd class guest.there was a small apologize for all the inconveniences, which is nice...but i did not have the feeling they mean it. i`m a student, not a rich business traveller at the moment, definitly i won`t come back to hesperia victoria hotel london.

Price was too high

Collateral fee. pool, whirlpool and saunas were under renovation.

1) i had 2 rooms reserved and although i gave my friend the reservation confirmation from yourselves i still had to phone and speak to a receptionist as they would not accept the print off. 2) in room 525 the toilet did not flush well and ws rather stained and dirty

Lack of basics in room, e.g. insufficient tea & coffee sachets, instructions for tv and air conditioning, toiletries provided for one when room booked for 2, lights not working, very expensive breakfast not included

Yes booked an executive room nad paid 60 pounds more. it was the same as a standard room

Reception staff very rude, tried to add tax & vat, make sure you bring email print out with you to prove all included. a smile wouldn't of gone a miss considering we're paying their wages, although have to say maid service very friendly & polite. breakfast was quoted @ £18 per person, just cross road into victoria train station go up stairs there is about 10 places to choose all doing great breakfasts for about £5.50 each.

Maybe a double room is slightly small

The bedrooms were very small and there was very little atmosphere in the hotel in general

Hotel has re-fitted a old building and in the most part has done a good job, but the pool and bathrooms were a little tired.

Hotel does not have a great profile, looks too functional, entry and reception /lobby need to be improved, spruced up for status conscious travellers, may not be a great address to flaunt - if it can acquire this profile as well, i will never go anywhere else. no view but compensated by - windows big and get in the sun
