 "Small room but very nicely appointed"
Perfect location, steps from Victoria Station. Not the fanciest part of town, but very nice hotel, excellent service, and great value compared to others in the area.

 "MIxed Bag"
This is a centrally located, very convenient hotel, across the street from Victoria Station. It has a lot of good points, and, unfortunately, several not-so-good points.The Good:- Centrally located.- Fast and efficient housekeeping. Our room was done within a few hours of us leaving the room each day.- Reasonably price (with some exceptions, noted below).- Convenient lounge- Friendly and efficient staff (at least those with whom we spoke)The Not-So-Good- Small rooms.- Wireless charge of 15 pounds per day (less for less time, but still...). We had an ethernet cable, but that did not work. We had to call the desk to have an IT person visit our room so we could hook up with their wireless system. IT person said our computer had a problem that necessitated disabling the wireless adapter each time, then enabling it again in order to use it. Our computer worked everywhere (home, British Air lounge, Starbucks, everywhere else) without a problem, so I think the issue was not with our computer but with our hotel. To charge 15 pounds per day for sub-par service is outrageous, and to not have ethernet hookups is also outrageous.- Construction work going on every day during the week, interrupting late sleeping- No automated checkout and no ability to check your bill onlineAll in all, we enjoyed our stay in London and we did like the fact that this hotel is so conveniently located. However, the outrageous fifteen pound per day wireless charge would probably cause us to seek a different hotel on future visits.

 "excellent location"
We chose this hotel as it was close to Victoria station which has an express line to gatwick.The hotel is presently undergoing renovotions and as a result does not have a proper dining room or lounge. Other than this inconvenience the room was spacious and was cleaned daily with a change of towels each day. The website gave excellent directions for the hotel but unfortunately did not state the fact that the hotel does not have the name Hesperia and as a result we spent at least 10 minutes looking for it.

Pros: I checked in early and then had some trouble with room not being available until 2pm. when i returned they could not find my room booking,etc. and it took ages to get the room.
Cons: Reception not very efficient - see above. in the restaurant, i tried to pay for breakfast with a credit card and they did not seem set up for that.

Pros: Perfect location with nice and quiet room. i sent e-mail to hotel before we travelled to london because of our late arrival. i received a reply quickly. it's hard to believe those overbooking stories that has been written on these sites. i can warmly recommend this hotel if you are not in short of money. nice, quite and big room, good bathroom, warm water in the shower... excellent!
