Excellent location, good continental breakfast and helpful staff, i asked a hairdryer and they promptly give one to me.
Tv wasn't properly working (internal aerial). i booked for the ivy but i was "redirected" to a next door b&b, but i’m unable to say if it was actually bad and if meant anything for me.Anonymous

Acutally i didn't stay at the real ivy house hotel. when i arrived ivy house, staff told me that my room was in water leakage and was not able to stay. as i stayed for only 1 night, i could only accept the arrangement to the alexander house where is next to ivy house but also under the same owner. the room in alexander house is poor with bad smell. i upset by the cleanliness and seems the room with lots of dust. i couldn't sleep well with the strong wet smell at night. it's lucky i took an early train the next day and i left the room very early.If there was no room available, the hotel can phone me or i can book another hotel. Great location and pretty good deal.Well the water was shut off the whole day. would have been nice to maybe have some bottled water in the room. could not use the kettle or even the toilet. no breakfast service but that was because of the underground tube strike so that is not the hotels fault.baldwin

The position of the hotel was great and we managed to get everywhere on foot. breakfast was good.If you don't sleep well it might disturb you that there are trains going right behind the hotel. also if you book an ensuite room you must count with an extremely small bathroom. Varadi

The location is excellent and the breakfast was good. ivy house is a good backpackers b&b.We were told to pay upfront upon arrival where we were then sent to our room next door in ceder house not ivy house. the bathrooms were the size of a toilet cubicle and were disguistingly dirty and wet. we left as soon as we could.Anonymous

Rooms were cleanBooked and confirmed 2 x 4 bed rooms and 1 x 3 bed rooms, on arrival only 1 x 5 bed room and 1 x 6 bed room in seperate hotels neither of them in the ivy. not very convenient as we had 3 families with children coming from different places and they had to sleep with other members of family and clothes, wash bags run along road to different rooms/hotels accommodated in.
