The breakfast was pleasant, and it would be hard to beat the proximity to st pancras.
We were the "non-standard" family of five, and therefore had to be roomed accordingly(which in london always seems to be the basement!-this(and shared bathroom)not really a problem, but was bemused and irritated to be informed that we weren't entitled to tea/coffee making facilities(ie a travel jug kettle!)as it wasn't a "luxury" room!!! this i found quite laughable-whilst appreciating this indeed was not a luxury option, the cheapest to the dearest hotels always have this.£130 for a very brief stay should warrant this.
also, the room wasn't ready(despite advertising that room would be available)-i tried repeatedly to contact the hotel by phone and e-mail to advise e.t.a to no avail.
the exterior of our room was also being painted when we arrived-always makes you suspicious of what smell is trying to be concealed!
