 "VERY DISAPPOINTING EXPERIENCE"
Very unfriendly receptionist, no breakfast room only room service was possible, bad quality of food, very old and ran down furniture, very soft mattress, wallpaper was hanging down the wall, open and half empty bottles of shower gel were in the shower when I arrived, they couldn't manage to bring me new bottels of shower gel. I asked for a coffee once which seemed to be a major problem. Finally they agreed but wanted to charge me £6. Most disappointing hotel experience I ever made, not worth the money at all.

 "This hotel is well positioned"
Pros: This hotel is well positioned.
Cons: This hotel was advertised as a 4 star. i do not think it is close to 4 star.
there was no internet access to the rooms and had been that way for the past week. they couldn't say when it would be beck up.
the air conditioner didn't work properly and leaked water, saturating the carpet. this was repaired on the last day of our stay (after informing staff after our first night).
the ice machine was inaccessible due to fold away beds being stored in the room in front of it.
the hotel guide said you could get ice and soft drinks in the same room. there was no soft drink machine.
they didn't replace the tea bags and coffee on the first night.
when my partner and i followed up on the issues, we received a rude response.we were offered another room; a single!
even at the discounted rate, i do not believe we received value for money.
this is the sort of operation which needs to be addressed to ensure there are systems in place to ensure the "4 star" service.
very disappointed.

 "The hotel proved sufficiently close for me to the tube station and so..."
Pros: The hotel proved sufficiently close for me to the tube station and so enhanced my movement to all the locations i had to reach during my stay. the staff were friendly and helpful.
Cons: Although not really negative, it would have been best to be able to access internet from ones room. the strength of the internet connection from the lobby waiting room could be made stronger.

 "Excellent location"
Pros: Excellent location. clean rooms.
Cons: Every time i go there they start offering very bad rooms, and i refused then they give better room. this is negative.

great shopping with harrods and harvey nichols on its doorstep. hyde park just two minutes away. good pub nextdoor.
very close to natural history and v& a museums.
i will use this hotel again. staff very friendly and helpful.
Cons: It was advertised as a four star boutique, more likely a three star, but nonetheless good value for this location.

Cons: I arrived at hotel in the evening and they did not have my booking. despite forwarding my easy booking confirmation they took no action and siad it was my problem or easy books problem. when i called easy book you spoke directly with the management and they offered a solution in a sister hotel. the sister hotel was acceptable but not in location or of the standard that i expected. i felt cheated as i had specifically booked a hotel and a location. i felt that i received at least a star quality lower than paid for. my partner joined me for the weekend as she wanted the experience of walking to and from harrods and other knightsbridge and hyde park facilities.
