Haringey in London

The Haringey borough has a little bit of London for everyone. If you like shopping, Muswell Hill, just to the west of the center of town has many shops to wander through, and Crouch End has the best international eateries. A quick bus ride to Alexandra Palace and you can see where public television got its start. On the terrace of the palace you can see all over the city of London. Start your journey early in the morning and plan to stay out well into the evening; there is no shortage of attractions, landmarks and restaurants in Haringey. Wood Green complex has more shopping and a 19 screen cinema where all of the newest movies, and some of the more obscure ones, are shown. For an evening walk, visit Paddock and stroll down to the River Lee. Green Lanes is an open air market featuring fresh fruit and a mix of characters to people watch. Highgate Village will get you ready for the nightlife in the borough with one of its street side pubs, and then it's on to Tottenham Club for an evening of drinking and dancing. You could spend your entire London vacation in this friendly, diverse borough of the city.
