Marylebone in London

Marylebone station is an underground station located in central London. The 1964 Beatle's movie "A Hard Days Night" was partially filmed here, and it has a place of history as featured in the British version of the board game ''Monopoly." It is the starting point as well as the place to end your tour of the area. The district itself is popular for the attraction of All Souls Church- a tower enclosed with a ring of free standing columns and a thin spire designed to form an outstanding feature. The spiral and tower used to be a wondrous tourist attraction, with travelers coming from all over to photograph it, but has since lost its charm with the erection of the Broadcasting house. Destroyed during the bombings during the Second World War, the church was restored and modernized in 1951. Walking tours of Marylebone are popular and last around an hour and a half. When those are over and the camera is full, head to one of two great pubs in Marylebone, The Globe is located at 47 Lisson Grove and the Victoria and Albert is at Marylebone Station. Both made the top list by reviewers as the two best and friendliest pubs in the area, featuring light snacks and good ale.
