 "Serial overbooker"
It became clear on arrival at the Metro that the owners like to overbook their rooms. I guess this allows them to cover themselves if guests choose to cancel at the last minute - and allows them to charge a higher price for rooms (I'll get to that in a moment).Upon arrival I was told there was a problem with my room and I had been booked in at another hotel in the group - Tony's Hotel (or something like that). When I got there I was told by a young man (who was poring over a very very full bookings page) that there was also a problem with my room here.As a result Tony's Hotel booked me in at an alternate hotel across the street - which did have availability - in effectively an attic room. I wasn't in a position to do much about it and accepted the room which was clean - and included breakfast something I wouldn't have got at Tony's!Watch out when booking at the Metro - you'll probably never get to stay there anyway. What I saw of the frontage and guest area it's nothing to shout about either. I'd probably look elsewhere.

 "Location is great"
Pros: Location is great. right accross the street from paddington station with connection to pretty much anywhere! fun staff. if your looking for a bed and shower, this is a great deal! if you want space, luxury, rentertainment and a good night rest...keep on looking ;)
Cons: The smallest room ever! no space to put your luggage except on your bed and hardly room in the bathroom to turn your butt. but like i said...if you just need a bed...good deal. although...the beds are not that comfortable.

Cons: I booked double bed but i was give one small bed. upset but didnt complain. i was changed from metro to tony hotel very inconvienient as i need to repack my luggage.

Cons: We didn't actually stay in the metro hotel as they apparently have a chain of hotels which e weren't made aware of, so after dragging our suitcases right to the top of the stairs got told we were going to a different hotel 5 minutes away. however the new hotel did look a lot better than the metro from the outside... didn't have any hot water, the shower more or less drizzled on you, 2 peopl can not move in the room at the same time, could have done with a lift as we had 2 big suitcases and were on the very top floor, at the top of very steep narrow stairs
