 "comfortable stay"
My husband and I attended a concert in hyde park and needed somewhere to stay within walking distance. Hotel normandie is 5 min walk from Paddington station and then a 5 min walk to hyde park. The hotel is by no means 5 star but it was clean with fresh bedding, all staff were friendly and welcoming and breakfast is included in the price. We had no complaints and the cost was very reasonable

 "Review of a mid-week's stay... ."
If you, like most people, dislike the idea of waking up in a very small room with filthy stains on the ceiling and a semi-broken door separating bath- and bedroom, then you might want to avoid staying in this hotel. The shower contained fungal spores and even slugs(!)... not to mention the clogged drain giving you either a filthy footbath or a flooded bathroom. Its location sadly enough does not compensate for the lack of quality, despite it being very close to Hyde Park, Harrods, Buckingham Palace and the Lancaster Gate Underground station. Overall, this hotel scored poorly!

 "Great location"
Everything was great about this hotel, except there were no toiletries in the bathroom and no tea and coffee facilities in the room. It was very clean and the staff very friendly. We did not have the breakfast so i cannot comment on that.

"Good location only positive thing about this hotel"
Pros: Good location only positive thing about this hotel. the original price quoted for the room was approx. euro700 and it was reduced to €306 for bed and breakfast, it certainly is not worth the original price quoted at any time of the year.
Cons: I had booked a triple room and expected the room to have 3 single beds, the beds provided were one 5 foot double bed and one camp bed. also the bathroom facilities consisted of a tiny wash hand basin, a w.c. and a tiny shower unit and i have long hair and i ended up not washing my hair at all for the duration of my 3 night stay as one could not move ones arms in the shower to wash/massage hair. the bedroom we occupied overlooked a busy street and we got very little sleep with the noise of traffic going past all night.

"The lady who did breakfasts was very efficient and polite considering she..."
Pros: The lady who did breakfasts was very efficient and polite considering she was the only one on duty.
Cons: The reception staff were ok (at the time we arrived he was in the middle of a tel call & we felt like we were in the way. also on your website you state that tea/coffee facilities were provided, there were none. when we asked the reception about this he stated that the internet sometimes put different things on to what are actually on offer. he then said he could give us a kettle!!!!!! the drinking glasses in our room were not changed on our 2nd day. the duvet cover had a few big holes in it.

"When the receptionist saw my mother had a wheelchair, they changed the 3rd..."
Pros: When the receptionist saw my mother had a wheelchair, they changed the 3rd floor room to the ground floor the next day.
Cons: My reservation note said my mother was frail and could not walk steps but this had been disregarded. the breakfast room was downstairs (about 15 narrow steep stairs!). most of the items advertised were not there. it was old and dreary and furniture broken. there were "pot" smokers next door but my complaint was disregarded. they were noisy at 3am in the morning and my complaint was disregarded.
