 "Great value for a single traveler"
I had a great deal on 6 nights there. My room was just a tiny thing barely able to fit the bed with a few feet to the door, but it was perfectly suited for my needs and I couldn't beat the price! I liked the fact that you leave the key at the front desk, because even if you lose your wallet or any other unfortunate circumstance like that, you know that there is no chance of someone else accessing your room. :)

 "Tiny prison cell"
The tiny room reminded me of a prison cell. There was no space for my suitcase except under the bed. I could hardly turn around and I could not close the door of the super tiny bathroom behind me. There was no real window, you could not see the outside world and the sky. Depressing! The room is very close to the reception and I heard everybody leaving / entering the hotel. The breakfast room was too small for all guests and very uncomfortable.My only positive remark: The bathroom was quite new and clean. If that had not been the case, I would have checked out of that hotel right away and looked for another one.

 "Value for money in charming neighbourhood"
This hotel is a correct address for an affordable stay in the middle of London's charming neighbourhood of Notting Hill. The 2-minutes-walk to Hide Park/Kensington Gardens, its proximity to the trendy Portobello Road with its famous market and the close-by Oxford Street shopping mile let us enjoy our visit to London as we could start exploring the city by foot.The rooms aren't spacious but certainly a good standard for London and the bathrooms are perfectly clean and modern.If you don't mind carrying your luggage by foot to the upper floors (no elevator) and don't expect too much of the breakfast, you won't be disappointed.We would probably return for our next stay.

 "short stay in Notting Hill Gate"
We were in London visiting our daughter, stayed in a couple of flats for 8 day periods, this was just a fill in after returning from Paris late the night before our departure back to Australia, cost and location were important to us as it was just a bed for the night, we were very pleasantly surprised by this Hotel, we knew it was a great location but found it to be very clean, quiet and well fitted out, amazing value with a good breakfast included, had we known we probably would have spent a bit more time there and saved on the flat costs as we were eating out most nights and didn't require a kitchen.

 "Nearly pefect"
This is a very good place. Small room for 4 persons but Clean. Nice beds, AC, good breakfast. Only negative we could say is that there was only very HOT and very little water in shower in the evening.

A cosy hotel located in the very central part of London. 3-minute walk from metro station (Notting Hill), 24-hour reception, very friendly and helpful staff.Breakfast and wi-fi included in price. Small but clean rooms with private bathrooms.Best choice for those who travel alone or in a couple and looks for a good hotel for a short period in central London with no frills at a reasonable price.

 "dont book in this hotel"
really it was bad trip . Because of the hotel . Very very bad . Noise up to the maximum limit . Waaaaaao . I cant imagine these days i had staied in that bad hotel . I advise every one dont book there . Very dirty . Noisy . Threre is no left . Bad eating room .bad services noòooOo . I hated london because that hotel.

 "BAD EXPERIENCE"
We had a very UNPLEASANT stay at the Notting Hill Gate Hotel.First of all, the room was very small. Then there was a chewing-gum on the wall when we came in. It smellt very badly in the bathroom, and there was one light missing.The bed was not confortable at all and we woke up with back pain.The telephone doesn't work for external calls (then why put a telephone ?).We were charged for the 3 days directly at our arrival. Breakfast was really cheap and closed half an hour earlier than pretended on easytobook website.As soon as we discovered the room with its unpleasant aspects, we tried to cancel our reservation for night 2 and 3, but only the cancellation of the third night was possible, they were not open at all to let us cancel for the first two nights. They let us see another room but this one was in the basement !Don't go there. The location is good but it is really not nice nor romantic at all...

A small and quiet hotel right next to Hyde park and just a short distance from Portobello road. The rooms are simple but clean and tidy. Typical London breakfast with tea, toast and marmelade. A perfect place when you are out touring London in the day but want a quiet night in a comfortable bed.

 "Ok and very good location."
Room was very very small, but bathroom was ok and for 2 nights it was fine. Also the breakfast room was very tiny so it was better to come earlier. Staff was nice and the equipment was working correctly. To sum up - for this price and especially great location (underground station very close and the central line that take you almost everywhere) nice and acceptable for a short visit.

Pros: Excellent location with some restaurans and shops within walking distance. easy access to central and circle line tubes. friendly staff. the room was small but clean and modern. would stay there again.
Cons: The breakfast room was really tiny (the breakfast itself was ok). there were plenty of stairs so if you aren't keen on walking up and down the stairs, this is not your choice. noises from the stairs and corridor disturbed from time to time.

 "It was near to where i needed to go"
Pros: It was near to where i needed to go.
Cons: I know it was only a single room, but it was very small and there was a constant draught from the window, which was just behind your head when you layed in the bed. the remote control for the television did not work and in the morning there was a slug on the floor, which must have gotten in through the window which was open when i arrived. i was due to stay again the following week, as soon as i got home i cancelled it and booked elsewhere even though it cost more money.
