I booked this hotel for a budget weekend trip to london for a group of 10 friends.I found the service at the hotel first class,with very friendly staff.The rooms were on the small side, but clean with a super shower.The location was very good with 2 underground stations within easy walking distance and plenty of bars,cafes,shops and restaurants nearby.The service and value for money were the highlights of our stay,with the lifts not working, on arrival at the hotel on our first night,the only low point.

 "A good stay."
It was a little hard at first to find but once found we didn't know why it took so long. Hotel is right next to a tube station and lots of shops. The room was a little small and no mini fridge. The room needed a little repairs and it would have been lovely. The breakfast was nice and staff friendly, the rooms was cleaned well daily. We stayed for three nights and enjoyed most the stay. The wall was a little thin and noise could be heard above and around us from other rooms. Great hotel if you want to sight see but not spend to much time in.

 "Very poor hotel.. Don't even consider"
Tiny rooms and 120 cm twin beds.. rooms had just one electrical plug.Service was bad and the personnel was really unfriendly.Only positive thing is the location, close to Bayswater undergroud.

 "Very poor room"
I was very unhappy with our night in this hotel. We were shoved in a tiny basement room, which should not have been a double. With a view of a fire escape loaded up with rubbish and placed beneath a trade staircase which meant neither my partner nor myself slept. Although he should have after banging his head on the bizarre drop in the ceiling. Will be complaining direct to the hotel.

 "The little hotel that could!"
Liked that we could check in by 1pm. We had a double and a twin in our room. Sleep was comfortable, although the room was small. Fairly warm, but was able to open a window. Heard a bit of guest noise in the hallway at night, but not too bad. We were looking for value in London, and this fit the bill. Breakfast was tasty and included in price! Again, tight fit in dining room, but we didn't book the Taj Mahal so our expectations were met! Hotel provided a nice blow drier, clean (small) bathroom, clean sheets. The carpet and bedspreads need replaced as soon as possible, but over all I would stay here again. We could walk to a Big Bus Tour stop as well, which was important to us.

 "Value for money hotel in Bayswater/ Notting Hill"
Good location, nice staff. Rooms a bit shabby, not enough heating, breakfast ques are long, luggage stored after check-out before departure is in the open area - no one guarantees you bag won't be picked by someone else. Overall might be a deal.

Good location, quiet area let down by tired and poorly maintained hotel. Rooms in desperate need of updating including beds and mattress. Pillows were wafer thin. Disappointing for the money. Makes the likes of premier inn look like excellent value.

The staff is not terribly friendly, you shouldn't keep the bagages just at the lobby.The carpets are not very clean. But anyway all together was not that bad.

 "great location, basic friendly hotel"
location is ace, room is clean, very basic but does the job for the price. It has no bar, just a cafe but worked in our favour for a peaceful night sleep. Some great restaurants nearby and tube station just 3 minutes away, we were out till 2am and had no trouble getting back from soho. will definitely be returning in the future.

 "Convenient location"
Pros: Convenient location. fair spread at breakfast.
Cons: The mattresses were unbelievably awful. not a wink of sleep in 6 nights and the shape of the springs are etched into my back. hotel staff standoffish and at times rude.
