"Mercure in miniature"

I knew the room could be small, but not that small?? One side of the bed - 50 CM to wall, end of the bed to wall - 50 CM, side by window to wall - 1 metre, No room to put "tea making facilities", so kettle ended up on the floor. Wardrobe minute, why an iron and ironing board were provided , I don't know as there was no room to put it up! The view from room 312 consisted of a pile of air-con units and a building scaffold, the hotel air-con was more miss than hit despite speaking with reception and the single glazed window was screwed closed. I'll give this hotel a miss when I visit London again. Ollie

Cons: On both nights we were woken up by the noise of water pipes hammering and whistling, quite early in the morning so that rather spoilt our stay
