 "NEVER AGAIN"
All of the people were very nice and very sympathetic! However, everything was so bad they offered to give us the room at the rate of "two nights for the price of one night" if we would stay. (All nearby hotels were already full) We decided that the "half price" was probably their hoped for price from the beginning, as making such an offer would appear to be good customer relations. Thus, they would not have to make repairs or up grade the service. It was understaffed. When we arrived only one of the two beds had a blanket, not a single towel, no hot water, black "crud" in the shower tiles and around the corners of the bathroom. Sometimes there was no water at all in the sink or the shower, and the shower down the hall was offered. The towel bar there was hanging vertically by one loose screw. There was old dust and cobwebs under the furniture in the room . No chairs to sit on. No bedside tables for personal items. There was one small table with and electric tea pot and some tea bags, instant coffee & clean cups (the one "perk" no pun intended). The windows were low enough to fall out of if you stumbled. They had no safety bars and the room was on the third floor. Below the window (three stories down) was concrete. Out in the hall way on the second floor landing, leaning next to the railing, was an 8 foot ladder stored upright against the wall. It remained there day and night for both days and nights that we were there. Any kid who might have climbed the ladder could easily have fallen over the railing down to the first floor. The stair wells were pitch black at night except for a small light that would come on momentarily if you pushed a button. It was on a timer, but did not stay on long enough for us to get up the stairs before switching off automatically. The breakfast that was included in the cost of the room was mediocre at best, but it was enough to fill the tummy.

 "Great stay"
this was a great hotel to stay at, however I have tried to contact you regarding a refund from this hotel because we did not stay on the night of the 29th July as we were still travelling in the air. Please respond to my email regarding the refund. The people were very nice and I do not want to have their goodness go bad because you people choose not to email me. Also I have friends that are going to go and stay at that hotel because it is so good.ThanksRosemary

 "Good stay"
Nice and friendly staff. Good breakfast, choise between English breakfast and Continental, fast service and clean. Quiet surroundings. Noicy doors that slammed when people passed, in the hotel. The Bathroom was not well cleaned. Just a short walk from the Underground, in zone 2.

 "Oh Dear"
Exepected cheap and cheerful but not this cheap. It was more like a hostel for foreign sudents who were not very quiet in the night. the room was very basic and the mattress was non existent although the sheets appeared clean. the throw over the bed smelt of old trainers and was clearly in need of a wash. there was clear moisture stains on the ceiling around the bathroom door. The bathroom had mould everywhere and had clearly not been updated for sometime. We were only staying for the one night and were out most of the day therefore we put up with it, any longer and we would have moved. i beleive the 'hotel' was mis-represented on the website.

Stayed 4 nights, single room with en-suite.Pros:- cheap- quiet residential area, close to Tufnell Park underground station- big room and spacious bathroom for the price- reasonably clean and quiet- no extra charges for paying by credit card- friendly staffCons:- a couple of times there was no hot water- I could not entirely close window in the bathroom, so it was rather cold in there- old 14 inches TV with only 5 basic channels, no remote control- average breakfast

 "Very friendly staff"
Pros: Very friendly staff. quiet and very nice neighbourhood. close to kings cross and camden town. close to bus stations and tube.
Cons: Showerdrain did not work so it was impossible to shower. it was not fixed during our stay.
the toilet seat was broken.
the mattress must have been a hundred yeards old which caused the springs to stick in your back (and i'm not heavy and i am used to camping). an air mattress would have been more comfortable.
i would stay again if these 3 things were fixed.
