Staff counld not have been more helpful or friendlier
The rooms were rather very small and difficult to have a decent shower. possibly redecoration. because of our ages we would have preferred a lower room, but nevertheless walking up the stairs was good exercise!

Very comfortable room
The lift was out of order would be problem for elderly. staff did not offer to carry bags up 3 flights of stairs

Hotel staff was friendly.
The royal norfolk was terrible! the hotel is extremely run-down and dirty and in need of repair. the room i was in was so small as to not allow me to unpack my bags! instead i had to stack suitcases by the door just to allow space to stand in the room (i am not kidding.) the "bathroom" was actually not a proper bathroom, rather a prefab kit of some kind that was smaller than the bathroom i had on the cruise i had just returned from. it was so small you there were just inches of floor space, which was covered with water the moment you turned on the shower. truly awful experience. as soon as i saw the room i immediately went out to find another hotel room, but due to wimbledon, all hotels in london were fully booked and i had no choice but to stay in this room. i was so upset i considered calling my credit card company to deny the charges from the hotel as what they represent on their website would almost qualify as fraud from my perspective.
