"Basic clean & good location accommodation"
Ideally situated to Victoria stations. Good price. Room was small but nicely decorated, clean, had tea making facilities, TV and modern shower room. Breakfast was continental but plenty of it if needed. Would stay again because of price, cleanliness and location.

"The worst hotel we have ever been on."
The diningroom was very small and dirty. Our hotelroom was in the celler and the carpet was very dirty and full of hair. There came not very mouch wather out of the showerhead, and when you sat on the toilet you bang your head into the zink. The bedroom was not paintet proberly and the television dit not work.

 "A night in London"
Hotel was located very close to the Victoria. This is perfect for overnight bumping .... But if one is here for some kind of relaxation this is worst place to stay. Room is quite untidy and over crowded. Floor has stain of puke. Moreover if someone is planning to sleep....its next to impossible as one could easily hear people in corridor.... especially late in night and early morning is worst... People at reception has no clue about internet service... I will not choose to stay next time here....

"Location can not be better, may be too central."
Great location, clean room and serviced daily, good internet connection. A bit noisy due to its location, but still managed to get good sleep.

 "London Holiday"
Room was spacious, with an ensuite bathroom was new and clean. The only thing is the stairs because we were at the very top. Breakfast was good too.

 "Terrible place to avoid."
It was a really disgusting stay at this hotel. I was in a supposed double superior room. First one has to turn around the corner to reach the room from another door because it is not possible to go the room at the reception. All the locks were damaged, the keys didn’t turn and it was always a problem to go inside the building and the room. They were repainting the walls everywhere and one had to stand a nauseating smell even inside the room. The room was freezing cold and the toilet too small; and the worst: there was a leak under the shower place that wet the room floor. The pictures shown on the web side are fake, nothing to do with the reality of this terrible place.

 "Good and bad"
Our stay at the Grapevine Hotel had a lot of pluses and minuses. The first problem we had was the Wifi, we were promised a free Wifi but it didn't work the entire time we were there. We told the staff about it, in fact we mentioned it to them every time we saw one of them and nothing was ever done about it. They always said they'd fix it but it never worked and this was a big problem, not to mention incredibly frustrating, because Wifi was one of the biggest reasons we chose this hotel. We would have expected some kind of reimbursement at least for not being able to use it but they never said anything about it. Which is very disappointing and a big minus to an otherwise okay visit. The room was okay, pretty much what we expected. However, the cleaning wasn't that great, when we came in the teapot hadn't been washed, the water even hadn't been changed and the glasses and spoons were dusty. The room was supposedly cleaned every day, but basically the cleaner just made the bed and sometimes changed the towel, she didn't vacuum, didn't change the teacups (which would have been very little trouble and expected in my opinion), didn't even wash or at least wipe the wash basin and the toilet. These are stables of cleanliness and I would have expected them done. Also, the room was said to have a hair dryer and it wasn't there either until we asked for it. I understand not every hotel has a wifi or a hairdryer, but these were mentioned when we made the booking and I expected them. Like I said earlier, it's pretty frustrating to spend your vacation worrying about small things like that. We had a very specific need for a working, fast internet and it was a big minus that it wasn't working. On the plus side, the staff was otherwise nice and polite, the breakfast was as promised and the location of the hotel good. I'd advise future clients, if going to Victoria, to go through Cambridge Street - Hugh Street - Elizabeth Street to Buckinham Road, we first took the Wilton Road which is much longer. There are also Barclay's bikes just around the corned of Hugh Street, you can rent them for a good price and drive around London. For the last few nights the neighbours were pretty loud, but obviously this isn't the staff's fault. Otherwise the hotel was peaceful.

 "Simple but excellent."
The rooms are very small, but have everything in there you could ask for. (TV with DVD player, closet, sealing fan) and also the bathroom is small, but new and with a nice shower (only down part, there's no shower curtain, so the floor get's pretty wet). The beds are good and we both had a good night sleep on them. Also the rooms were clean, you get clean towels every day, the bed's are made everyday, but the bedding isn't changed. The hotel has 3 floors and no elevator, so that is something to keep in mind. You have to carry your luggage up and down the stairs. The breakfast is simple but good. (What they serve is on their website and that's exactly what there is.)The service is really nice, it's a family business (they have to other hotels in the street as well) and everybody was really friendly. When you check out, you can leave your luggage at the hotel, so you can do whatever on your last day, without having to carry it around. It's about a 10 minute walk to the Victoria Station, and about an 7/8 pound taxi drive. When you walk to the Victoria Station, you pass tons of restaurants and pubs, and small shops. Also the streets are lovely and characteristic. Right across the Victoria Station are two theatres (so really close to the hotel), where Billy Elliot and Wicked are currently playing. Overall everything you can expect for this price. It's simple but perfect for a city trip for example. We would definitely book here again.

"Nice and clean but very small rooms"
I had a single room for 10 days whilst on a bussiness trip. The breakfast was nice (although the orange juice was not very tasty). The room was small and I don't know if any one taller than me would have been ok in the bed. However everything was perfect for what I needed. The staff were helpful and very firendly.

"Shuffled About from Hotel to Hotel"
I booked and paid in advance for 2 single ensuite rooms 6 weeks before date I was due to arrive and this was confirmed via easytobook.com. On arrival at the Grapevine it looked like a building site with no-one on reception and a sign saying to call next door, A very nice young man advised us there had been flooding and we would not be able to stay in Grapevine but in 2 separate hotels if we wanted single rooms. As we didn't want this we agreed to stay for 1st night in twin room in another hotel in next street. Room was like a garret on 4th floor and beds were very narrow with only 6 inches between them and room was only about 6ft wide. Shower stall and curtain were mildewed and room and bedding were very shabby and soiled looking. on 2nd and 3rd nights we still could not be accommodated in single rooms and were offered room in another street with 4 beds squeezed in although room was pleasant and clean. However bathroom was down short flight of stairs outside room and although it was for our sole use there was another occupied room next door to us so we had to dress before leaving bathroom. Not ideal! I have e-mailed Grapevine asking for refund of £54.00, difference between 2 singles and twin rooms, but have as yet not received a reply . Although staff friendly and polite Grapevine was a mess and I would not recommend anyone to stay there until renovation and repairs complete,

 "STAYED IN BETTER"
Good location as it was close to Victoria underground and coach station, aswell as Buckingham Palace which is where I was visiting during my stay (Jubilee Concert) Hotel was under going refurbishment. Check in was slick. Room was adequate but small. Toilet had not been cleaned to expected standard. Bedroom doors are fitted with an alarm which beeps constantly if your door is not closed properly, my neighbour left his door open far too often for my likeing!!!! Continental breakfast was far too basic, toast, pastries, rolls and cereal, no fruit or cheese.

 "The Grapevine Hotel"
Unfortunately renovations were being carried out at the time of our visit, therefore no breakfast served but we did receive a refund which was good. On the down side, the room did not have an ensuite. Although the shower room was solely for our use it was not part of the room. We had to leave our room and go down a flight of stairs. I advised Reception that I should have been informed of this at the time of booking as an "ensuite" means exactly that.... part of the room. The carpet in our room was badly stained, TV volume would not go down but other than that it was clean and tidy. It's biggest plus point is the location. We would stay again but only if the room had an ensuite as part of the room.

 "Never this hotel again"
We were 2 adults and 2 children in the smallest of rooms with a shower that barly could bring out any water. The hotel was under construction. Worst of all was the breakfast, or what they call it. Unfresh juice, old bread, loud noice and dust from the drilling. The breakfast staff was arrogant. Never ever agian. Don´t go there!!!!This hotel is a joke!

 "poor stay"
The room was horribly small. shower and toilet in a 1x2 room.. 1 towel each in 3 days. we asked for more but couldn't get them. We didn't use the breakfast because it was in a discusting room and the food was poor. i wouldn't go here again. just spend a few pounds more for a better stay.
